March 31st Opening Day
Today is opening day for Major League Baseball.
This should be a glorious day, however, I just started a new job and I’m stuck here with no way to watch or listen to the game. I don’t even know how I am able to access this site as most internet access is locked up here. I will try to follow along on my phone as much as I can, but that doesn’t work so well either. The Reds are not playing the first game like they usually do. When did this tradition stop? The Cincinnati Reds are the oldest franchise in MLB and should have the honor of playing the first game every year, the distinction for 2011 goes the historically rich Washington Nationals and the perennial playoff loser Atlanta Braves. Good call Major League Baseball, must watch TV for sure.
March 25th
I have been busy lately. Moved, job search, and most importantly, we have a baby on the way. We have been keeping it hush-hush because of insurance reasons and because we have just about cleared the 1st trimester. We went to the doctor yesterday and she did an ultrasound even though we are only 11 weeks in. I captured the result on a cell phone.
Pretty exciting. We are having trouble with baby names though. We want something unique but not too unique that they get made fun of on the playground. I guess Captain Aeroplane is out.
February 20 Bye Bye New York City
We moved out of New York City on Friday Feb 11th. It was not an thing for me as I wanted to stay but the cons greatly out weighed the pros. This was my second stint here and will probably be my last. Here is a shot I took of my last train ride.
We packed up a week or two early but spent nearly 14 hours packing the van.
We lived above City Furniture and right next to an awesome deli called God Bless Deli. I’m going to miss that place.
This my last shot from the moving van. Goodbye New York, I will miss you.
January 18th World Trade Center
Here are some shots of the new construction at the World Trade Center site, or Ground Zero if you prefer.
